After Tuesday’s loss against the Padres, Bruce Bochy informed the media that Nori Aoki has a fractured fibula and will be out at least two weeks. There’s no other timetable for his return, according to Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area.

Aoki was hit by a pitch on a Carlos Frias fastball Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles and sat out Sunday’s game. After the day off on Monday he was back in the lineup Tuesday before being scratched 90 minutes before first pitch.
Aoki said he felt pain when he came out to take BP. Said he’s “definitely surprised.” Didn’t think he was seriously hurt Saturday.

Aoki, 33, was having an impressive season slashing .317/.383/.385 with a 124 wRC+, and 1.9 fWAR in 291 plate appearances. He is currently fourth in All Star game voting to start in the outfield.
The Giants will have to go with Gregor Blanco, Angel Pagan, and Justin Maxwell until Hunter Pence or Aoki returns. Jarrett Parker will likely get the call-up, but he looked overmatched during his short stint with the club earlier in the month. Juan Perez and Travis Ishikawa are also options.
The Giants sit at 38-34, second place (1 GB) in the National League West and 2.5 games out of the second wild card spot.
