Happy Monday, sports fans! Lots of changes in my power rankings this week, but sadly no big jumps. Only nine teams had no movement this week, four of which are the top four (which doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon). When I said there were no big jumps, I meant it! In fact, only one team moved more than four spots. The Texas Rangers dropped five spots this week after defying all expectations over the last month leading up to this week.

Will this be the end of the Rangers 2015 run? Will the Rangers make the playoffs this year? I’m going to say no to both. The Rangers will continue to make short surges throughout the year, but nothing that will launch them into October.

In this week’s edition of “The Year of the First Years,” Maikel Franco continues to tear it up (Phillies HotW four weeks in a row), and Steven Matz breaks records in his major league debut (first pitcher to have four RBIs in first game).
