Parra, 28, has been on a tear recently. Since April 25, he has hit .333 with six home runs and 22 RBI, via Brewers media relations director Mike Vassallo. On the year, Parra has hit .306 with six home runs and 24 RBI.
The Giants are not the only team in on Parra, as the Los Angeles Angels have shown interest, as I wrote here.
Maybin, 28, has had a good year for the Braves after being acquired in a blockbuster trade with the San Diego Padres this past offseason. In 72 games, he has hit .295 with seven home runs and 39 RBI.
Parra is the likeliest of the two to be dealt to the Giants. Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com recently reported that the Braves have been trying to push Chris Johnson in deals that include Maybin or other Braves players. Given how the Giants have no interest in Johnson, it makes a deal unlikely at this time.
