The New York Mets have reportedly acquired OF Eric Young Jr. from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash considerations, according to a club announcement. Young is set to report to Triple-A Las Vegas sometime in the coming week.

With this acquisition, Young provides the Mets with extra speed on the base paths as well another lefty bat who is capable of getting extra base hits coming off the bench as needed.
Young, 30, is currently represented by Jeff Berry of CAA Sports. Thus far into the 2015 season, Eric has hit .169/.229/.273 with 0 home runs and 5 RBI’s having appeared in a total of 35 games played during regular season ball.
Young has had a previous stint with the Mets after having been traded from the Rockies and was later traded to Atlanta prior the start of 2015.
