American League Cy Young
Dallas Keuchel (49%)
In the closest vote in the poll, Dallas Keuchel edged out former Rays and Tigers ace, David Price to claim the Cy Young. Keuchel has been instrumental to the Astros’ resurgence and their first postseason berth since losing in the 2005 World Series. Keuchel was especially efficient at home, where he had a 15-0 record with a 1.46 ERA and a .186 BAA. David Price, meanwhile, has been equally instrumental in leading the Blue Jays to the best record in the American League since August 1 after being dealt in a deadline week blockbuster. If the Blue Jays make a World Series run, it will be because of David Price’s pitching. Sonny Gray was his usual self in Oakland, further locking down his status has one of the premier aces in baseball. Chris Archer has emerged as David Price’s heir apparent in Tampa, and should only get better in the years to come.
