Major League Baseball announced that Los Angeles Dodgers’ second baseman Chase Utley has been suspended for games three and four of the National League Division Series against the New York Mets. Those games will be played in New York. Utley dangerously slid into Ruben Tejada in Saturday night’s game, resulting in a broken fibula for Tejada.

The Dodgers will have to play with only 24 active players during the suspension. The series is tied at one apiece heading back to New York.
Utley will appeal, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. The league will hear his appeal Monday which means he might be able to play in game three later that night.
