2016 wish list: Seattle Mariners

2.) A true lead-off hitter (and another athletic outfielder!)

Next on my list is another athletic outfielder, Brett Gardner.

Gardner is under contract with the New York Yankees until 2018 with a team option. He is 32 years old, but fills a couple of needs, lead-off hitter and athletic corner outfielder. Also, you can put him in center, if needed. Gardner hit .281 leading off this past season in 55 games while hitting .246 in 85 games in the two-hole. The Mariners would have to trade for Gardner and don’t have a lot of depth in the minor league system. Maybe a Jesus Montero for Brett Gardner deal would work (kidding).
