3.) An MVP for Bryce Harper
Something good needs to come from the 2015 season so that the Nationals can still take a positive away from what seems like a lost year. Harper winning his much deserved first MVP award would be such a thing. Nationals batters were good for 15.6 WAR on the season. Harper himself was good for well over half of that value, with 9.9 WAR on the season. How’s that for value on a non-playoff team?
A slash line of .330/.460/.649 with 42 home runs and 99 RBI should be more than enough to give Harper and the Nationals something to hang their hat on from the 2015 season.
