Major League Baseball’s 25-and-under postseason All-Star team

Outfield: Stephen Piscotty, St. Louis Cardinals, current age 24.292

Regular season stats: 63 games, .305/.359/.494, 7 HR, 39 RBI

Postseason stats: .375/.444/1.000, 3 HR, 6 RBI

While most of the Cardinals lineup was neutralized by the Cubs pitching staff in the NLDS, Piscotty was not. The 24-year-old Stanford graduate (with a degree in a discipline of engineering that would leave most of us with a headache) played first base and outfield for the Cardinals. On this roster, he plays outfield to make room for Hosmer. Piscotty was part of the next-man-up mentality that got the Cardinals through a laundry list of injuries all year. He debuted July 21, but hardly looked like a rookie in the postseason.
