Major League Baseball’s 25-and-under postseason All-Star team

Starting Pitcher: Noah Syndergaard, New York Mets, current age 23.065

Regular season stats: 24 GS, 9-7 W-L, 150.0 IP, 3.24 ERA, 10.0 K/9, 1.9 BB/9, .225 BAA

Postseason stats: 4 G, 2-1 W-L, 19.0 IP, 3.32 ERA, 12.3 K/9, 3.8 BB/9, .263 BAA

Syndergaard debuted on May 12, and while he may be the most raw of the New York Mets trio of aces, he has the highest ceiling. Syndergaard makes 100 MPH look easy. He was the only Mets pitcher to defeat the Kansas City Royals in the World Series. In that World Series start, Syndergaard fell behind early to the relentless Royals attack before settling down and dominating. He was able to generate swings and misses in a way that the other Mets starters were not able to do against the Royals. Command was a bit of an issue for Syndergaard in the postseason, but he never let the moment get too big for him.
