Catcher: Salvador Perez, Kansas City Royals, current age 25.176

Regular season stats: .260/.280/.426, 21 HR, 70 RBI, 31% CS

The World Series MVP, the heart and soul of the Royals. What more is there to say about a player who is a three-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glover at the age of 25? Not much. Perez is the rightful winner of the World Series MVP after slashing .364/.391/.455 in the series. His leadership was also on display. It was Perez who kept an emotional Edinson Volquez from melting down in Game 4 when shaky command threatened to give the Mets a chance to break loose. Perez is one of the best personalities in the league, but his play backs it up.
