The Phillies, to go along with Nola have 22-year-old Maikel Franco, 23-year-old centerfielder Odubel Herrera and 24-year-old right-hander Ken Giles. These four look like the young building blocks the Phillies could use in 2016. It will be important that Nola, Giles, as well as Eickhoff continue to develop, and that Franco comes back strong after breaking his wrist. Herrera needs to continue putting up the numbers in 2016 that he had in 2015. The Rule 5 pick was a big surprise, and played well given his first exposure to playing the outfield. These four could make things very interesting in Philly in 2016.
Another guy to keep an eye on is J.P. Crawford. The shortstop is ranked No. 6 among prospects in the Phillies organization. If Crawford continues to work out and develop, the Phillies could have themselves a star sooner rather than later.
