In 2015, the Rays suffered through a dismal first half from Asdrubal Cabrera but were rewarded with an offensive surge afterwards. He would end the season with a respectable .265/.315/.430, 15 HR and 58 RBI. Unfortunately, for the Rays, he will likely parlay that into a multi-year contract.

The future may look bright with prospects Daniel Robertson and Willy Adames in the pipeline, but going into spring training with Nick Franklin and Tim Beckham is not ideal.

Trade for Starlin Castro! Joshua Sadlock details the merits of the Cubs moving the often misunderstood shortstop. The Rays could take advantage of that middle infield surplus and dip into their own starting pitching depth, which the Cubs desperately need going into 2016.
