In 2015, the Chicago Cubs had a tremendous year. Many say that they were a year ahead of schedule. But anyone that has followed this team knew that positive results like what the Cubs delivered were possible from the get go. The Cubs have evolved from rebuilding to contending. They have an opportunity to be successful for years to come, and even within an ultra competitive National League Central division, and National League overall, the Cubs have the foundation ready for another October run.
Manager Joe Maddon has stabilized this organization which is ready to take off as soon as pitchers and catchers report. Yet, there are still improvements that the team can make to try to get over the hump that saw 2015 end in the NLCS. With the Baseball Winter Meetings just over a month away, here are five goals the Cubs should look to accomplish this winter.
