The Royals have one of the game’s best bullpens. They finished second in the league behind only the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2015 posting an ERA of 2.72, and a record of 30-14. The Royals bullpen must be kept intact.
It would be wise for the Royals to re-sign Ryan Madson, who pitched in the majors for the first time since 2011 and posted a 2.13 ERA. Madson also posted a 0.963 WHIP and 8.2 K/9 with 20 holds in 2015. Madson ran out of gas slightly in the playoffs, but with a long offseason to recover from his first full year in quite some time, there should be no reason for concern.
