The Blue Jays third baseman has been chosen as one of three finalists for the American League MVP Award alongside Mike Trout and Lorenzo Cain. The winners will be announced over a course of four days beginning Monday, November 16. The race will be the tightest in years, with Mike Trout edging out Donaldson in WAR and OBP, while the postseason advancing Toronto slugger owns most of the other categories. Here are the numbers:

Donaldson’s 123 runs batted in lead Major League Baseball, as well as his 122 runs scored and his 323 total bases. Donaldson is the most likely MVP winner, but you never know.
