Jose Bautista

The one-time Baltimore Orioles/Tampa Bay Rays/Kansas City Royals/Pittsburgh Pirates infielder/outfielder blossomed in Toronto, and it would be difficult not seeing him retire a Blue Jay. Bautista is in the last year of a contract in which he will earn $14 million for the 2015 season. That is a great price for a slugger of his ilk, and he will likely be looking for a bit of a raise on his next deal.

Bautista has a career batting line of .257/.368/.497 with 286 home runs and 793 RBIs. He hit .250 last season with 40 home runs and 114 RBIs. Bautista has made six straight All-Star Games and has been remarkably consistent as a Blue Jay. He gets on base for the team despite his high strikeout numbers, negotiating a walk a league-high 110 times last season.

Bautista will be forever immortalized for his bat flip against the Texas Rangers in the 2015 playoffs. He is known for being a passionate player and if he were to leave Toronto, the heart of the team might be gone. The Blue Jays have a chance to re-sign him for a couple more seasons. He is 35 and a three-year deal might persuade the outfielder to stay in Toronto. The value of the deal could easily surpass the $60 million dollar mark.
