The Oakland Athletics have agreed to a deal with left-handed pitcher Rich Hill, pending physical, according to a source.
Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com first reported the Athletics interest in the veteran left-hander.
Hill, 35, has been in the league for 11 years and has played for six different teams, compiling a 26-23 record to go along with a 4.54 ERA and a 487/232 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Last season with the Red Sox, Hill made only four starts and he put up solid numbers, going 2-1 with a 1.55 ERA and a 36/5 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
It’s unclear what the terms of the deal are, but it should be no more than a one or two-year deal.
