4.) Scott Kazmir, LHP
2016 Projected Stats: 10-10, 169.0 IP, 3.77 ERA, 7.97 K/9
Kazmir comes with plenty of red flags, but because he will not command an extremely long deal, is not deemed as high as risk. After being traded from the Oakland Athletics to the Houston Astros, Kazmir’s ERA spiked up from 2.38 to 4.17. The 31-year-old went 2-6 with his new team. After missing virtually all of the 2011 and 2012 seasons due to injury, Kazmir resurrected his career, and was an All-Star in 2014. Kazmir’s strong performance does appear to be a by-product of pitching in the spacious O.co Coliseum. Kazmir needs to be in the right park to succeed.
