New York Yankees
Another big market team that has made pitching a priority this offseason is the New York Yankees. They, like both the Dodgers and Red Sox, are ready to be active on the free agent market for some pitching help. The Yankees have even discussed the possibility of trading closer Andrew Miller in order to bolster their rotation depth. If the Yankees decide they don’t want to be big spenders in free agency, or if they decide to keep Miller on board, Fernandez could be a cheaper, more viable option. With the likes of Luis Severino, Aaron Judge and Gregory Bird, the Yankees certainly have the pieces that would get the ball rolling with the Marlins.
