Survival guide tip #4: Baseball Books

There are some outstanding books on the game of baseball and something for everyone to read. Although I do not get to read as much as I would like, I still make it a goal every offseason to try and read a couple of baseball books to learn more about the game.

Biographies are my typical go-to baseball books, but there are plenty of other books to check out if you don’t want to read about just a single person.

Some great books to check out…

The Boys of Summer

The Kid: The Immortal Life of Ted Williams

Mickey Mantle: My Favorite Summer 1956

Denny McLain: I Told You I wasn’t Perfect

Ball Four

October 1964

Men at Work: The Craft of Major League Baseball

Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game

Of course this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to baseball literature, but some great books to start with.
