The Angels in the Outfield: 1993-1996
This set did not last long, only four seasons, but it paid homage to the original uniforms for the Angels. The uniform top script logo was a direct lift of the post-LA Angels uniforms of the 1960’s. The hat logo was the interlocking “CA” logo (with halo “A”), which took over as the left sleeve patch.
It goes without saying that kids of the 1990’s remember this set from Disney’s Angels in the Outfield. It’s worth noting that Disney was a minority owner of the team. The remake of the 1951 classic featured the most unrealistic story of parental custody and Joseph Gordon Levitt hopefully providing inspiration to NBA center Chris Anderson an awesome move to replicate.
