Potential Rule Five Draft Pick: Brady Shoemaker

With the Rule 5 draft on Thursday fast approaching, we are beginning to hear some names that might be picked.
One name to keep an eye on: Brady Shoemaker.
There has been some talk that Shoemaker may be taken in the draft tomorrow, although it’s unknown what team(s) are interested in taking him.
Shoemaker may not be a commonly known name among fan bases, but he has been a very productive player in the minor-leagues. In six MiLB seasons, he’s been a minor league All-Star four times.
Defensively, Shoemaker can play both first base and left field and could be a fit as a designated hitter in the American League, so there is defensive versatility there.
In his first full season in Triple-A with the Miami Marlins, Shoemaker hit .284 with nine home runs and 50 RBI.
Shoemaker, a free agent at the end of the year, was re-signed by the Marlins and was offered an invite to Spring Training as a non-roster invitee.
With the Rule 5 draft tomorrow, Shoemaker is a name to keep an eye on.
