Cleveland Indians: A new third baseman
The Indians are in desperate need of a new third baseman. I thought Todd Frazier would be a good trade candidate, but he is no longer an option after being dealt to Cleveland’s division rival, the Chicago White Sox. Third base is a glaring weak spot in the Indians lineup and an upgrade at the hot corner is certainly near the top of their priority list.
Giovanny Urshela has been sub-par in his big league time so far and could definitely use a veteran leader from whom he could learn. David Freese and Casey McGehee are a couple free agent names that come to mind.
Corey Kluber, 2014 AL Cy Young Award winner, was good but not great in 2015. If he can return to his Cy Young form, this team should be in decent shape, especially with the continued development of their young starters.
