When Chicago embraced the wild and colorful 1970’s, they had some of the coolest looking uniforms in my opinion. The use of powder blue and red injected a more lively look.

Red pinstripes were added to the home whites. The “Sox” script went to red along with the player number which stayed on the right side. The back player number was red with a white outline.

The powder blue road jerseys returned. These zip ups took the cursive “Chicago” script and made it red. The player number was put on the left sleeve. On the back, the number kept the same red and white trim look as the homes.

The old English “Sox” script remained the same on the now, all red hats.
