Classic Threads: Cleveland Indians

Vests and A New Lid: 1963-1969

As Cleveland continued to be a second division team, they took on the vest styled jersey, which was en vogue. I have to say, I like the look of these.

Both the home and away shared the same style. On the left chest was Chief Wahoo. On the right chest was the player number, first in blue, then in red. It was clean and simple on the back.

The hat removed Chief Wahoo as the wishbone “C” was first on a navy blue lid then to an all red lid.
