Baseball’s Back in Kansas City: 1969-1972
The early Royals uniforms were pretty basic.
The home white uniforms featured “Royals” in a blue cursive script, with a tail. A button down, with a very clean design.
On the grays, a “Kansas City” cursive script was featured until 1971. At that point the city name was in an arched block lettering.
The Royals crown logo patch was added to the sleeves in 1971.
A royal blue hat with the white “KC” logo was the team’s only cap. An instant classic starting from day one.
