The Home Run Derby didn’t start off well for hometown kid Todd Frazier. His opponent, Rangers first basemen Prince Fielder, walloped 13 home runs in his turn, leaving Todd Frazier needing a whopping 14 to advance. It proved no problem for the Reds third basemen who got what he needed to move on to the semis. Next up was Josh Donaldson, who hit 9 balls out. With the crowd behind him, Todd Frazier promptly beat the soon to be AL MVP. His final challenge, was the Dodgers young hotshot Joc Pederson who had 25 home runs in the first two rounds. He then added an incredible 14 in the final round. Yet again though, Todd Frazier bested his opponent hitting 15 bombs to win the Derby.
