The Twins joined in on the powder blue V-neck craze of the 1970’s and much like a few teams, hung onto the style in 1980’s.

Once again both home and away uniforms featured “Twins” on the front. They kept the same red with blue outline seen on the 1972 uniforms. The home whites were without pinstripes. Added to the front was a player number in the same color scheme. On the back, the jerseys initially did not feature the player name, but that changed.

The all navy hat debuted with the jerseys as the team’s only cap. In 1976, the home hat was the red with navy bill and “TC” in navy and white. Once again, I dig that lid.

I always like that the “detached tail” in the 89-09 uniforms is actually underlining “win” in “Twins”.
