5. Can the Sox start a new record for consecutive sellouts?
I know, I know. You’re thinking, “This is a stupid question!”
Maybe it is. However, all I’m getting at is, “Can they build a consistently competitive team for 2016 and years to come?”
The Major League Baseball record for consecutive sellouts is 820, set by the Fenway Faithful. It ended on April 11, 2013. Ironically, our faith was flimsy enough to give up on that magical team.
With a positive end to 2015 and an exciting team being assembled headed into 2016, with many key parts under long-term control, a new streak — record or not — seems on the horizon. I can’t wait for Opening Day!
