Is Albert Pujols going to continue to be productive?
Albert Pujols is coming off a season, where he belted 40 home runs, and drove in over 90 runs. He was incredible in the first half, which resulted in a starting role in the All-Star Game, but, in the second half, he started to show signs of fatigue, and eventually became the full time DH by September.
It seemed like the DH position could really help Pujols and his legs in the long haul. The Angels want to keep him healthy and on the field, but the best way to do that might be by primarily DHing. The Angels have C.J. Cron, who showed serious signs in 2015 that he can become a big part of the starting lineup. Cron is a pretty major downgrade defensively at first base, but keeping Albert healthy and in the lineup is a bigger issue.
Overall, Pujols’ season was a resurgence, and he was a much needed power presence in the middle of the lineup. But the question is, can he continue it into 2016 and beyond?
