Is Jose Reyes going to be suspended, and who will replace him?

Jose Reyes was arrested back on October 31 in Hawaii, after an argument with his wife reportedly turned physical. His trial is scheduled for April 4th, and if he ends up getting suspended, the Rockies need to figure out who they are going to stick at shortstop.

The most intriguing option is prospect Trevor Story. Story, just 23 years old, hit .281/.373/.523 in Double-A New Britain, and emerged as a top prospect. If he is ready to take the step up to the big leagues, he is a good candidate to potentially replace Jose Reyes.

Another player who could step in for Reyes, is Cristhian Adames. Adames has just 33 games in the big leagues under his belt, but is still only 24 years old.

If Jose Reyes is suspended for a period of time, the Rockies need to figure out who will step up in his place.
