Option 2

  1. Cameron Maybin
  2. Ian Kinsler
  3. Justin Upton
  4. Miguel Cabrera
  5. Victor Martinez
  6. J.D. Martinez
  7. Nick Castellanos
  8. James McCann
  9. Jose Iglesias

There is the option of batting Upton third and moving everyone else in the lineup down a spot. But moving Cabrera out of the three hole and a guaranteed at-bat in the first inning, might not be the option Tigers’ skipper Brad Ausmus wants to pursue.

With this option the Tigers would have Kinsler and Upton, who both get on base at an above league average pace, in front of Cabrera and give him more potential opportunities to drive in runs.

It also doesn’t hurt that in 773 career games in the four spot in the lineup, Cabrera has put up a .331/.410/.579 slash with 166 home runs and 575 RBIs.

It’s a safe assumption those numbers would certainly inflate with this option on an everyday basis.

What if you moved may bin from the top to the bottom? I think Kinsler, Upton, Might, Victor , JR would be the best bet

Hahaha, Miggy, the best hitter on the planet at anything other than #3 is INSANE!
Maybe if he were to not hit for power ever again #1 or #2, but #4, not anytime soon.
