Option 3

  1. Cameron Maybin
  2. Ian Kinsler
  3. Miguel Cabrera
  4. Victor Martinez
  5. J.D. Martinez
  6. Justin Upton
  7. Nick Castellanos
  8. James McCann
  9. Jose Iglesias

This option is reminiscent of an Earl Weaver lineup, playing for the three-run home run. As mentioned, Kinsler gets on base at a solid clip as do Cabrera and both Martinezes. Right out of the gate teams have to be careful if either Maybin or Kinsler get on because of the Tigers three-through-six hitters ability to go deep and put opposing pitchers in a deficit quickly.

Although in this scenario Upton isn’t located near the top of the lineup, where he has batted most of his career, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind coming up with more chances to knock in the guys ahead of him.

What if you moved may bin from the top to the bottom? I think Kinsler, Upton, Might, Victor , JR would be the best bet

  2. Jack Cade

Hahaha, Miggy, the best hitter on the planet at anything other than #3 is INSANE!
Maybe if he were to not hit for power ever again #1 or #2, but #4, not anytime soon.
