By the seventies, the Red Sox joined in the pullover craze in baseball.

The home white V-necks kept the same “Red Sox” script as before. The jersey was only an update to the classic look.

The road grays (back) took on the script font and color scheme as the home. “Boston” remained on the front.

For the first few seasons, the navy blue lid remained the only hat. In 1974, a red front paneled hat was worn a few times. By 1975 they switched over to a red with navy brim cap. As much as I loved the all navy lid, this one is my personal favorite Sox cap.
