Classic Flannel: 1936-1971
By this era, we see the Yankee uniform baseball fans know and love.
The home white uniforms bring back the interlocking “NY” on the chest. The team’s iconic pinstripe home jersey becomes a baseball classic. As time passes the “NY” logo becomes more defined.
The road jerseys kept the “New York” script in navy. The script, for the most part is arched. For the 1943 season it was straightened on the front of the jersey.
A navy hat with the white “NY” remains the team’s only lid.
