Doug Fister, Houston Astros
One Year, $7 million

The Houston Astros were a surprise playoff team in 2015 and have a loaded lineup heading into 2016. The pitching staff includes the reigning of Cy Young Winner, Dallas Keuchel, but needed help at the end of the rotation. Behind Keuchel are Collin McHugh and Lance McCullers with Fister as the projected fourth starter. Mike Fiers and Scott Feldman should battle it out for the fifth spot. Fister is coming off a disappointing 2015 (5-7, 4.19 ERA) with the Washington Nationals. The Astros are hoping he can be closer to his outstanding 2014 (16-6, 2.41 ERA). If he can come anywhere close to where he was just two years ago, this will be a steal for the Astros.
