Shortstop: Munenori Kawasaki, Chicago Cubs
Without a doubt, baseball’s funniest player is new Chicago Cubs infielder Munenori Kawasaki. Between dubbing himself Little Papi, messing with Edwin Encarnacion, belly flopping onto Casper Wells, letting everyone know he’s Japanese, and the constant dancing, Muni is the one baseball player that no fan can hate. He’s just plain hilarious.
As a baseball player, Kawasaki is nothing overly special. He runs well and plays good defense, but he doesn’t have any power nor is he a fantastic hitter. Sometimes I really do believe he sticks around for comic relief, and in that regard, the 34-year-old runs away with MVP every year.
