In Episode 6 of the 5-Tool Podcast, we talked to Los Angeles Dodgers minor leaguer Adam Law, who played most of the 2015 season with the Double-A Tulsa Drillers.

Adam is the son of former big leaguer Vance Law and the grandson of Cy Young winner Vern Law. We talked about growing up with the baseball bloodlines and discovered that baseball was not his favorite sport.

We touched on Adam’s decision to go on a mission for the LDS Church after his freshman year at Brigham Young University and whether that two-year delay has affected his career since.

There’s a lot of other really good stuff in this interview with Law. Before we got to that, Nick and Jeff discussed the new home for Baseball Essential contributor David Aardsma, how much Nick is looking forward to David Ortiz‘s farewell tour (i.e., not at all), and the fact that there’s just not much going on in baseball right now.

After Adam Law, Jeff and Nick made their predictions for the National League West and addressed a ping pong challenge from our friends at the Backward K Podcast.
