Overall, the Red Sox farm system is loaded with talent from top to bottom. While most of the players on this list are a couple years away from the majors, the Red Sox have the pieces in place at the big-league level to allow for patience in the development of their young prospects. Even if a quarter or even half of the players on this list fizzle out or fail to reach their full potential, the Red Sox will have plenty of pieces to add to their roster in the next two to three years. While 2015 wasn’t the most memorable for Red Sox Nation, the future is bright, especially down on the farm.
Huge thank-you to the folks at SoxProspects.com, whose scouting reports were invaluable to me in researching for this list. Be sure to visit their website and check out their Twitter @SoxProspects for news, notes, and statistics on all Red Sox minor leaguers throughout the 2016 season.
