16. Kyle Holder, SS, 21, Drafted in the 1st round in 2015 draft out of San Diego

The Yankees selected Holder in the 1st round of the 2015 draft because of his defense. Yes, his defense is that good. Holder is an excellent fielder at a critical defensive position, which is the reason why the Yankees jumped on someone so early who lacks a decent offensive skill-set. There is no question Holder can pay defense at an elite level. The question remains if Holder can develop enough as a hitter to compliment his excellent defense. Holder only needs to be a slightly below-average to average hitter to be a productive big leaguer.
