4. James Kaprielian, SP, 21 – Drafted 16th overall in 2015 out of UCLA
Kaprielian was the Yankees first-round selection the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft. The Yankees were expected to take a bat, but when all of the bats they desired were off the board they decided to go with a seasoned pitching prospect. Kaprielian converted from a reliever to a starter while at UCLA and flourished in the role. Kaprielian is seen by many as the first starter in the 2015 draft to reach the big leagues. If all goes as planned, Kaprielian could make an impact in the Bronx in 2017.
