8. Rob Refsnyder, 2B, 24, Drafted in the 5th round in 2012 out of University of Arizona
Refsnyder is a bit of a wild card at this point. He is getting up there in age for a prospect, as he turns twenty-five in late March. The Yankees seem to be mixed on Refsnyder. His bat is clearly better than his glove and his mediocre defense seems to have scared the Yankees off. He still has time to improve his defense and worked extremely hard in 2015 to improve upon that part of his game. He will probably bounce back and forth between Triple-A and the major leagues this season. But at this point, with the Yankees acquiring Castro to play second base, one has to wonder if the Yankees might use Refsnyder as a trade chip come July.
