Noah Syndergaard – SP
Second-year pitcher Noah Syndergaard, dubbed “Thor” by Mets fans because of his flowing blonde locks and massive 6′-6″ frame, pitched very well in his rookie year. Syndergaard posted a 9-7 record with a 3.24 ERA, with 166 strikeouts in just 24 games last season. He had an excellent K/9 ratio of 10.0, and only walked 31 batters in that same span. Syndergaard went on to finish fourth in the National League Rookie of the Year voting. Expect the 23-year-old to make a push to be in San Diego this July pitching in his first All-Star Game.
