For an organization that was once rated in the bottom half of baseball farm systems, things changed in the blink of an eye. After years of destructive trades, the Phillies entered 2015 with the 21st ranked farm system in baseball. Outside of J.P. Crawford, there were no “stud” prospects, and their depth was shallow, at best.
2015 was a remarkable turnaround for the Phillies organization. They saw an influx of young talent, from many different outlets. They acquired youngsters via trade, made wise decisions during the Amateur Draft, and signed one of the top international prospects over the summer. At this current moment, the Phillies now have one of the deepest, most talented farm systems in baseball.

Goeddel, the first selection in the 2015 Rule 5 Draft will spend the season on the Phillies 40 Man Roster, and could even be in line to lock down a spot in one of their corner outfield positions.
Let’s begin the countdown….
