Spring training is now fully underway. As teams begin to prepare for the 2016 season, David Freese is still a free agent. We really haven’t heard many rumors regarding Freese this offseason, but why? Freese has been pretty consistent over the last four campaigns, playing in over 120 games with an on-base percentage over .320 in each of those seasons. These stats are obviously not eye-popping by any means, but he is a consistent veteran.
Another thing Freese brings is his knack for coming up clutch. We all remember what he did back in the 2011 World Series. His defense is average, he always seems to make the routine plays. So why is a player like this still unsigned at the end of February? Here are three logical landing spots for the veteran third baseman, ranked from most logical to least.
