Top 100 MLB Players: 11-20

11. Manny Machado 3B

Manny ate the league up in 2015 and posted a 6.8 fWAR in over 700 plate appearances. He is up there with Donaldson as the best third basemen in baseball.

12. Jose Fernandez SP

Came back from Tommy John surgery in 2015 and dealt. He is a top ten pitcher in baseball and could win the Cy Young next year. Nothing would surprise with the talent this man has.

13. Giancarlo Stanton RF

His season was cut short due to a broken hamate bone, but still crushed the ball. He has a shot at 50 home runs if he get over 600 plate appearances and the projections have him hitting over 40.

14. Miguel Cabrera 1B

Cabrera is still posting All-Star numbers after 12+ seasons in the majors. He was injured for part of the 2015 season, but still accumulated a 4.3 fWAR with 165 wRC+. Couldn’t leave him out of the top 15.

15. Lorenzo Cain CF

After bursting on the scene in 2014, Cain backed up his publicity and posted a career high in wRC+ and fWAR and was considered the World Series Champion Royals’ best player.

16. Chris Sale SP

Very similar to Kershaw, Sale nearly hit 300 strikeouts in 2015. His fWAR has been increasing since entered the majors and reached a career high last season at 6.2. At 27, he could have a monster season in 2016.

17. Max Scherzer SP

Some didn’t think he deserved the $200+ million contract the Nationals gave him in the offseason before 2015, but he posted career highs in ERA and fWAR.

18. Jason Heyward OF

After getting paid, he will look to improve on his hitting and maybe even eclipse his previous fWAR high of 6.5. The possibilities are endless, but it’s clear he is a four win player even if he hits at a league average rate.

19. A.J. Pollock CF

A guy who has been 30 percent better at the plate than league average the last two seasons with a combined fWAR of 10 in less than 1,000 plate appearances.

20. Corey Kluber SP

Some thought he had a tough season in 2015, but he had a sub three FIP and nearly eclipsed his 2014 Cy Young season.
