Seattle Mariners
Felix Hernandez, SP

The Mariners have been struggling to find an offensive identity for years. Minus the questionable Bret Boone power surge, the M’s have not been able to build a sustainable offense. It was great having Ichiro Suzuki around at the top of the order all those years, but there was rarely someone to drive him in.

Pitching dominates in Safeco, and King Felix has been one of the best in the league. Now in his 12th season in the bigs, Hernandez is coming off one of his worst. Could all of those 200-plus inning seasons have begun taking their toll? Hopefully not for Mariners fans. It remains a huge injustice that Hernandez has 101 losses in his career, but Seattle may finally be building an offense that can back him consistently.

Honorable Mention: Robinson Cano, Kyle Seager, Nelson Cruz
