Five-Stat Friday

1. Only ten players since 1901 have recorded at least 20 home runs, 20 doubles, and 20 stolen bases in their rookie season. Of those ten players, only five of won ROY. Those five players are Tommie Agee (1966), Marty Cordova (1995), Nomar Garciaparra (1997), Carlos Beltran (1999), and Mike Trout (2012). Vada Pinson (1959), at age 20, was the youngest rookie to ever record at least 20 HRs, 2Bs, and SBs, barely edging out Mike Trout. (h/t Baseball Reference)Screen Shot 2016-03-21 at 8.49.45 PM
