The Detroit Tigers recently announced that Cameron Maybin, whom they re-acquired from the Atlanta Braves in December, will not be ready for Opening Day on April 5th in Miami. This means the Tigers will have Anthony Gose be their center fielder to start the season and it also leaves them with a spot on their roster. One thing the Tigers have in 2016 that they have struggled with in past years is depth. They have four really good options to choose from to make the Opening Day roster.

This is an important choice for the Tigers because this player could be essential to them getting off to a hot start in 2016 after a very disappointing 2015 season. They can only choose one of the following four players and they all bring different tools to the table. Keeping some guys off the roster could have further implications, too. Let’s explore the Tigers options.
